Welcome to Exciting Burbank

Burbank, California is a thriving community, but it has traveled a long road from its rural roots. The city was founded by Dr. David Burbank in 1867, with humble beginnings as a sheep ranch. The city has since become an important part of film, television, and aviation history. In fact, the Warner Brother back lot stands on the site of Dr. Burbank's ranch house.

You might think that this bustling city is too busy to really make you feel at home, but you would be wrong. There is a definite Main Street, USA feeling to the downtown area, where businesses and restaurants are happy to welcome you in. Burbank sponsors several festivals and activities throughout the year, so that residents and visitors can meet and get to know each other. Depending on the time of year, you will see dancing in the street, the Farmer's Market, Halloween partiers, fine arts displays, and twelve or more days of Christmas. To see if you'll be in town during one of the famous celebrations, just take a quick look at the events calendar.

Of course, no visit is complete without a trip to one of the television or movie studios in the area. Most of these studios, including Universal Studios and Warner Brothers Studios, give extensive tours of the sets. If you're lucky, you may even get to see a star or two. There are also quite a few theme parks in the general vicinity, which makes Burbank the perfect base of operations for a fun-filled vacation. Book your hotel in Burbank, where you can enjoy the hometown feel of the city and still visit some of the nation's most exciting attractions.

Once you have had a taste of the hospitality, the fun, the shopping, and the dining, you won't want to leave. That's okay. You can check out the real estate page, too.
