Sites To Visit In Burbank California
When I found out I had to go to southern California on a business trip, I decided to add an extra week for my own vacation. Looking at all the sites to see in Burbank, I quickly discovered that a week isn’t near enough to see everything.
It turns out there is a lot to do and see. I am a huge movie and TV buff, and many of my favorites were made right here in Burbank, so I was excited to tour the Burbank Warner Bros. Studio. Simply the opportunity to see the sets and places where my favorite shows and films from my childhood were filmed gives me an exciting feeling of nostalgia.
When I told my nieces and nephews where else I was going to visit, I had to promise them lots of souvenirs from The Walt Disney Studios. Talk about history, I can’t think of anyone that doesn’t have a favorite memory associated with at least one of the animated films Disney has produced since the 1940s. I also had to make a stop at the Nickelodeon Animation Studios for more souvenirs. Soon I needed an extra bag for everything I purchased.
An important part of any vacation is relaxation. There is no better place to golf than at DeBell Golf Club. It’s a beautiful, challenging course that opened in 1959. It’s always nice to go on vacation and play on a really nice course; what a treat. After a long day on the golf course, what could be better than a visit to the Burbank Spa and Garden? Originally a saloon in the 1920s, it has become one of the top day spas in California. I think I really deserve some pampering in such a beautiful setting.
To make certain I got the entire local flavor Burbank, California has to offer I wanted to find a few community and local spots to enjoy. I always love visiting Farmers Markets to help support areas when I visit. Tie that in with the Downtown Burbank Fine Arts Festival and I spent an entire Saturday strolling around enjoying myself.
I found myself not really having much down time on my Burbank trip. That isn’t really a bad thing, because even on a vacation I like to stay busy. With all the shopping, sightseeing and spa visits, I found more than enough to peak my interest. The upside is that I have somewhere to come next year.
