The Starlight Bowl kicks off its Summer Concert Series on Independence Day with a celebration of "The Soul of America", a fun filled, family oriented evening featuring soulful and patriotic music and a spectacular fireworks show!
This fantastic event features the Burbank Philharmonic Orchestra playing a blend of musical choices from symphonic selections to singalongs. They have chosen music which will appeal to young and old alike and includes favorites from Hollywood musicals and the Swing Band era.
The Burbank Philharmonic Orchestra is under the direction of Maestro Steven Kerstein. The Orchestra itself is made up of the finest professional musicians in Southern California. The 4th of July event will feature patriotic music by John Williams, John Phillip Sousa and other great American composers, as well as a few surprises!
Also appearing at the Independence Day celebration will be special Guests Stone Soul. Stone Soul plays spot-on covers of the best of Motown and Classic Soul. You'll enjoy the timeless hits of legendary artists like Stevie Wonder, James Brown, The Temptations, Four Tops, Al Green and Wilson Pickett among others. Tickets are $12-$22 ($8-$18 Seniors over 60/disabled; Free for children 2 and under) You are welcomed to bring your own refreshments (no hard liquor) and blanket or low beach chairs. Sandwiches and beverages are also available for sale. Parking is $5.
