Twelve Days of Holiday Cheer
Every winter, the city of Burbank celebrates the holiday season with a festival called the "12 Days of Holiday Cheer." The Downtown Burbank Partnership, in conjunction with the city of Burbank, sponsors dozens of family-friendly events held in Burbank over the course of twelve days before Christmas.
Some of the more well known events that take place during the 12 Days of Holiday Cheer include the Mayor's Tree Lighting Ceremony at Burbank City Hall, photographs with Santa Claus, Holiday Parade, Snow Day, Reindeer Run and Breakfast with Santa Claus. There is community Christmas caroling, Christmas and holiday songs, and lots of celebrating the holiday season.
Each year, many special events take place during the 12 days, and the schedule is typically announced a few months prior to the festivities. This event is sponsored by the Downtown Burbank Partnership, in an effort to bring people downtown to see the local shops and businesses that make Burbank a unique place to live.
