The Kiwanis Club of Burbank was founded in 1922 as an offshoot of the Kiwanis Club of Glendale. The club's purpose is in line with the mission of Kiwanis International, which is to raise funds for worthwhile projects and to support local charities and non-profit organizations.
Some of the local non-profits that the Kiwanis Club of Burbank supports includes Burbank Temporary Aid Center (BTAC), Burbank YMCA, Burbank Center for the Retarded, Boys and Girls Club, Meals on Wheels, and the Boy Scouts. In addition to supporting these local organizations, the Kiwanis Club of Burbank's Kiwanis Cares About Children (KCAC) program supports over 40 projects that help help local families who in dire need.
The Kiwanis Club of Burbank holds their meetings every Wednesday from 12:00 - 1:30 pm at the Burbank YMCA. Members from other Kiwanis Clubs and guests are always welcome to attend their meetings.
Kiwanis Club of Burbank Membership Requirements:
Membership in the Kiwanis Club of Burbank, is open to men and women of good character, over the age of 18, throughout the world. Membership in the Kiwanis Club of Burbank shall be effective upon the Board of Directors approval of an Application for Membership accompanied by payment in full of any dues and membership application fees.
