
Burbank Noon Lions Club is a member of Lions International, one of the largest service clubs in the world, consisting of over 1.3 million members in 205 countries.The Burbank Lions chapter was founded in 1968 and it has over thirty members.
Some service activities that are undertaken by the Burbank Noon Lions Club include eyeglass & hearing aide recycling, hospital visits during the holidays, Flag Day, Sight First Campaign, driving the blind, honoring "comeback" teens, hosting teen dances, pop top collection, Wilderness Camp for Blind, and preparation and delivery of local holiday food baskets. The Lions self-fund many of these projects and also hold fundraisers throughout the year to finance their activities.
While the primary mission of the Lions Club is to do positive things in the community, members participate in a variety of social events as well. Some activities that Lions Club members participate in include Fund Raisers, an annual Bowlathon, group outings, fishing & golf trips, social functions, and holiday gatherings and celebrations.
The Burbank Noon Lions Club meets on the 2nd & 4th Thursday of each month at noon at the Holiday Inn in Burbank. More information about the Lions Club can be found on Burbank Wire.
