Named the Best Theatre in Burbank, as well as one of the notable 25 theatres in the country, the Colony Theatre is a 276-seat venue located in the Natural History Museum in Burbank. The acting troupe at the Colony Theatre is nationally recognized, and has won numerous awards and accolades since its beginnings in 1975. With more than 100 Drama-Logue and LA Weekly awards, as well as awards from the L.A. Drama Critics Circle and L.A. Ovation, the theatre is well known for its spectacular production values, high quality sets and costumes, and extraordinary actors.

In 2000, the company moved to its current location and is now known as The Colony Theatre Company in Residence at the Burbank Center Stage. What began with a small ensemble cast of actors has grown into a cast of dozens, with some of the actors remaining with the company for decades. Located in the heart of Burbank, the Colony Theatre is becoming an LA institution.
