Falcon Theatre announces 2009-10 season schedule.

Burbank, CA - Falcon Theatre in Burbank, California has announced its schedule of shows for the 2009 - 2010 season. This year’s line-up includes two Troubie Musicals, a West Coast Premiere, a Broadway Hit and a World Premiere. The season includes five great shows, and if you order your tickets early, you can save some money!

Here's some information about each of the shows from the Falcon Theatre website, where you can also order your tickets.

Oedipus The King, Mama!
The Maternal Musical that mashes up Sophocles’ “Oedipus the King” with the music of the King of Rock & Roll, Elvis Presley. Oedipus has a Burning Love and he Can’t Help Falling in Love with his Mama. So Don’t Be Cruel and miss this musical parody by the theater company the Los Angeles Times calls “The Masters of Musical Spoofery."

Exit Strategy
Exit Strategy is an inspiring drama about older people discovering new dreams. Mae and James are living out their lives in a shabby rooming house with nothing to live for. Enter Alex, a man on a mission, who opens their minds and shows them it’s never too late to take chances.

Frosty The Snow Manilow
Get Ready to Take a Chance Again on a new musical that melts together the holiday classic “Frosty the Snowman” and the sounds of Barry Manilow. Could It Be Magic when Frosty wakes up Somewhere in the Night on a winter Weekend in New England? Don’t miss this family fun because Frosty Can’t Smile Without You.

Souvenir
A heartfelt, wickedly funny true story about the limits of self- perception, Souvenir flashes back to the musical career of Florence Foster Jenkins, a New York socialite and tone-deaf diva. Her bizarre partnership with pianist Cosmé McMoon yielded off-key recitals that earned them cultish fame – culminating in a sold-out performance at Carnegie Hall.

The Psychic
Adam Webster, a down-on-his- luck writer, in desperation to make the rent, has put a sign in his apartment window, “Psychic Readings $25”. The characters it draws in lead into a tangled murder mystery of sorts in this hilarious original comedy.
