DOWNTOWN BURBANK, Calif. -- Flappers Comedy Club and the Burbank Boys and Girls Club have teamed up for the club’s grand opening at 102 E Magnolia Boulevard in Downtown Burbank on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 8:00 and 10:00 P.M.

The show will feature MC Samuel J. Comroe with Stephanie Blum and headliner Joey Medina from the Original Latin Kings of Comedy. A portion of the proceeds will go to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Burbank.

Flappers Comedy Club Burbank, featuring a 1920’s theme “Still Celebrating the Repeal of Prohibition” has three separate dining and show areas. The main showroom seats 225 and will show off-major comedy headliners from around the country. The club also has a smaller showroom called “The Yoo Hoo Room” which has 50 seats. The Flappers Bar & Patio is open for dining 6:00 P.M. until 2:00 A.M. has a small stage and seats about 60 people.

The club is open for eating, drinking and laughing from 6:00 P.M. until 2:00 A.M. Wednesdays through Sundays.

In addition, Flappers Comedy Club is giving the community a chance to get in on the laughs by offering a Lifetime of Laughs Pass “LOL Pass.” For a one-time purchase of $1,000 customers can buy a lifetime membership gives two FREE tickets to any show, anytime (excluding special events) at any Flappers location. Businesses can purchase the pass and give it to co-workers, employees, friends, family or anyone they want to get rid of for the evening. LOL pass members will also see a personalized recognition plaque on the comedy club wall with their name and favorite comedy quote. They will also receive 10% off food & merchandise at Flappers including Flappers University Workshops and Classes, priority notification of all special events and a free t-shirt and glass. The pass is good at both Claremont and Burbank Locations. A limited numbers of passes are available.

The mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Burbank and Greater East Valley is to inspire and enable all young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. Today, the Boys & Girls Club is committed to providing affordable after school, summer, extended day care programs and services covering a wide range of programs. Young people receive critical guidance from committed professional staff and dedicated volunteers through a wide range of educational and recreational programs. Parents benefit from the Club’s low cost child care programs made affordable to everyone during after school hours and throughout the summer vacation months.

Flappers Comedy LLC is operated by a group of people who are passionate about comedy. Led by Barbara Holliday and Dave Reinitz, they currently run the 100 seat Flappers Comedy Club in Claremont, CA. The Comedy Production and booking arm of the company, H2F Comedy Productions, has been working with NACA and local comedy clubs, booking talent across the country for over 15 years.
