The Burbank Police and Fire departments work in tandem every day. The joint effort shows in the combined salute to their respective contributions to the community at the Police and Fire Museum in Burbank, California. The glass paneled rotunda in this significant architecture building presents a tableau of sacrifice and dedication to preservation of residential safety and community values.

The Burbank Police and Fire Museum is open by appointment only. This allows a qualified and informed guide to be available for tour and guided information and question answering. Sufficient notice and planning can accommodate group or school tours at the Museum.

There is a theme running through the Police and Fire headquarters building - watchfulness, care, and scrutiny to danger that the sculpture "The Guardians" in front of the building conveys. The exhibit displayed inside salute three Burbank police officers killed in the line of duty, as well as two marshals. A canine animal is recognized as well as the Hero Display of Officers receiving community recognition for valorous service. Recipients of the Police Medal and the Police Star are honored here.
