Verdugo Park is home to wonderful public swimming facilities. The Park is perfect for children who want to take swimming lessons or for adults looking for a place to swim laps. The Olympic-sized swimming pool at Verdugo Park is opened for different activities at various hours. Verdugo Park also has beautifully maintained grassy areas, which are perfect for sporting events, dog walking classes, birthday parties, or even family picnics.

Burbank, California certainly knows how to maintain beautiful parks. Verdugo Park, which borders Clark and California Streets, is a large green space capable of hosting multiple football games. Picnic benches abound under shady trees. Roomy play areas and a cabin for community and special events dot the north end of Verdugo Park. Skateboarders can be found some Friday nights hanging out at community hosted events.

But there so much more park at Verdugo Park. There is a small child play area and advance swing set one workout areas and multiple tennis courts open to the public. Shaded walkways can be found in the north and south ends of Verdugo Park. Roomy grass areas host birthday parties, Dog training classes and various walkers and strollers enjoying the sunny weather. A recreational facility for summer classic crafts classes, community events, martial arts classes, and a full roster of year round activities for Burbank youth is located in the Park.

The south end of the park is comprised of the parking lot, the gym, a swimming pool, and grassy area on the eastern side. Swimming in the summer the Verdugo Park pool is a Magnolia Park mainstay. The Olympic-sized pool can be divided between lap swimming and community open swimming. Lap swimming hours and community open swim alternate with swim lessons.
